The Isuzu Elf UT was a semi walk-through van that Isuzu built and sold in Japan. It appeared in November 1996 under the development name 155 and, as its name says, belonged to the Elf range, yet unlike the cab-over Elf it had a bonnet like a European van and seated two. The headlamps came from the second-generation Bighorn, giving it a similar face, and no four-wheel-drive version was made. Its stylish look and large load space suited it to commercial work, and in 2000 a camper conversion was offered by an Isuzu affiliate. Nissan sold it as the Atlas Max under an OEM supply. A 1999 revision met the 1998 emission rules, and production stopped in October 2001, when the Begin delivery van replaced it, leaving the UT a one-generation model.
