The Fiat 603 was a chassis for a light civilian lorry, launched in 1925 by the Italian maker Fiat V.I. and built until 1929. It had a conventional two-axle layout with rear drive and a Fiat 107 four-cylinder petrol engine of 2,296 cubic centimetres. Besides the ordinary lorry it served as a street-sweeping truck with an integral sweeper, described as a great novelty in road transport, and as a torpedo-type bus seating 16 passengers. The bus version, the 603 Torpedone, was replaced in 1926 by the 603S, which had a six-cylinder petrol engine of 3,446 cubic centimetres and was approved for 23 seated passengers. A similar but more powerful model was sold as the Fiat 605.
