The Dodge LCF, for Low Cab Forward, was a series of medium- and heavy-duty trucks that Dodge built from 1960 until 1976, replacing the cabover COE range of the 1950s. The 500 through 700 series were medium duty only, while the 800 through 1000 series were the heavy-duty versions. The range was also sold in Canada with the Fargo badge and, following Chrysler Corporation's policy of badge engineering for overseas outlets, in other markets under other names. Dodge and International Harvester gasoline engines were available, called the C series and all V8-powered, along with diesels from Perkins, Cummins, Caterpillar and Detroit Diesel.
