Dodge 50 Series

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The Dodge 50 Series, later known as the Renault 50 Series, was a range of light commercial vehicles produced in the United Kingdom by Chrysler Europe and later Renault Vehicules Industriels between 1979 and 1993, replacing the earlier Dodge Walk-Thru step van and the smaller Dodge Spacevan cab-over van. To save money while Chrysler Europe was in financial trouble, it used some panels from the American Dodge B series vans, notably the doors and upper wings, modified for European rules, but the chassis was British-designed and shared no parts with American products. Various engines were offered, including the Perkins Phaser and 4.236 diesels, and many were built as chassis cabs for box bodies used by utility companies.
