Dodge 300 (truck)

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The Dodge 300 was a medium- to heavy-duty cab-over truck that Dodge's British arm built at its Kew plant from 1957 until the mid-1960s. The Ghia-designed Dodge 500, which appeared in late 1964, replaced it, and after the 300 was retired the Kew plant was closed and production moved to Dunstable. Most Dodge 300s had Perkins diesel engines, and the cab is often called the LAD cab, for Leyland-Albion-Dodge. A bus variant was developed in the early 1960s but only eight were built, including a prototype S306 with a Leyland engine and Weymann bus body in 1962 and an S307 with a Perkins engine and Marshall body in 1964.
