Chevrolet Kodiak

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The Chevrolet Kodiak and its GMC twin, the TopKick, were a range of medium-duty trucks produced by the Chevrolet and GMC divisions of General Motors from 1980 to 2009. Introduced as a variant of the medium-duty C/K truck line, they were built in three generations and slotted between the C/K trucks and the GMC Brigadier Class 8 conventional. They were developed as the basis for vocational trucks, including cargo haulers and dump trucks, and later generations also came as cutaway and cowled chassis variants for bus use. The largest versions were developed to accommodate the Caterpillar 3208 diesel V8, and the last medium-duty truck, a GMC TopKick 5500, left Flint Truck Assembly on July 31, 2009.
