Renault YG

The Renault YG is a road tractor model produced by the French company Renault in the early 1930s. Like the YF truck, it was introduced at the end of 1932 to join the 1933 range of Renault industrial vehicles, and it replaced the Renault SY. It is designed to tow a trailer with a payload of 6 tonnes. The production dates are the YGAB in 1932 and 1933, the YGAC in 1933 and 1934 and the YGAE in 1935 and 1936 with petrol engines; the YGDB in 1933, the YGDC in 1933 and 1934 and the YGDE in 1935 and 1936 with diesel engines; and the YGAH with a producer-gas unit in 1941. The French armed forces used the YGDB as a tanker tractor for the Navy and the YGAC as a tractor limber for the 75 mm anti-aircraft gun model 1930. The YG is offered with a four-cylinder in-line petrol engine of 120 by 129 mm or a four-cylinder in-line diesel of 96 by 150 mm, and Renault announces a loaded speed of about 38 km/h for its 1933 models.
