The Renault VT was a heavy truck built by the French maker Renault at Boulogne-Billancourt from 1932 to 1933. It was then replaced by the similar ZF, produced from 1933 to 1935, and 314 VT and ZF were built in all. The VT belonged to the early 1930s range of modular Renault commercial vehicles, the first Renault range to receive diesel engines. Within that range it was the 6x2 heavy truck with a payload of 12 tonnes, the top of the rigid trucks, and it was fitted only with inline-six engines. A heavy truck derived from the VT, the ZF, joined the range for 1934. The range as a whole was replaced from 1935 by the forward-control ABF and ABG models and the lighter ACx and ADx series.
