Renault Radiance

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The Renault Radiance is a dream truck from Renault Trucks, shown in September 2004 at the Hanover commercial vehicle show. The concept was produced by Renault Trucks and Renault Design under the direction of Xavier Allard and Kemal Esen. It is based on the Renault Premium and its prototype is limited to a speed of 30 kilometres an hour. Its equipment includes electric steps that slide out of the bumper to ease access to the cab and the rear of the cab, cameras in place of the mirrors connected to a screen on the digital dashboard and mounted on the front bumper, electronic steering and parking brake systems, a retractable gear lever, a bed that turns into a bench seat, and a glass roof. The wheels and tyres were supplied by Michelin.
