The Renault AFK, or AFKD where the D means diesel, was a three-axle truck made by Renault from 1937 to 1939. A truck with a payload of 10 tonnes, the AFKD was presented at the Paris show of October 1936 and produced from 1937 to 1939 under the code AFKD1. A few AFKDs were requisitioned by the French Army in September 1939 and at least one was used as a tank transporter. It has a forward cab with a sleeping berth for the driver and one type of engine, the type 509, a six-cylinder diesel of 125 by 170 mm with overhead valves developing 130 hp at 1,500 rpm. The gearbox has five forward gears and one reverse, and an overdrive gives ten ratios. Empty, the AFK reaches 58.5 km/h thanks to the overdrive, and loaded its top speed is 45 km/h; it has two tanks of 170 litres each and consumes 41 litres per 100 km.
