The Renault GZ was a lorry that Renault built from 1920 to 1922 as the successor to the EP of 1914. The GZ ran on pneumatic tyres and the GZ1 on solid tyres, and they were shown to the Mines authority on 9 December 1919 and 6 February 1920. The GZ carried a payload of 2 tonnes and the GZ1 3 tonnes, with top speeds of 46.7 and 34.7 kilometres an hour. Both had a four-cylinder inline petrol engine of 95 by 160 millimetres rated at 19 fiscal horsepower, a four-speed gearbox and shaft drive to the rear axle. The Ministry of War ordered 150 GZ1 in autumn 1921 for the French Army of the Rhine, and the chassis was also used as the base for fire pumps. The Renault LD succeeded it.
