Plymouth Commercial Car

The Plymouth Commercial Car was a light delivery van that Chrysler built under the Plymouth name in the 1937 to 1941 model years. It was derived from the Dodge delivery van and gave Plymouth dealers, who did not sell the group brand Dodge, a small commercial vehicle for small tradesmen; it replaced the wagon variants of the Plymouth Business. It ran on a small truck chassis with a 2,946 millimetre wheelbase and a side-valve inline six of 3,299 cubic centimetres producing 70 brake horsepower (51 kilowatts), later 3,441 cubic centimetres and 79 brake horsepower. Bodies were a chassis with cab, a two-door sedan without rear seat, a two-door pick-up and a three-door wagon. Output was 14,725 in 1937 and about 6,000 to 7,000 a year after that, and the war ended it in 1941.
