Morris FE

Trucks and Commercial Road Vehicles

The Morris FE was a 5-ton and 7-ton forward-control truck built by Morris Commercial between 1955 and 1959, closely resembling its predecessor the Morris FV and, apart from the cab layout, still a largely pre-war design. It carried a more modern front grille. As the merger of Morris and Austin worked through the British Motor Corporation, it replaced not only the FV but also the slightly larger Austin Loadstar, and a 7-ton version was now offered beside the 5-ton. Pickup, panel van and tractor unit versions were built, and buyers could order a bare chassis for specialist bodywork. From 1956 the Morris Commercial brand was dropped and FEs not badged as Austins simply carried the Morris name.
