The Albion Claymore was a lorry built by Albion Motors from 1954 to 1966, one of the Scottish maker's post-war heavy truck range that included the Chieftain, Clansman, Clydesdale and Reiver. Albion also made the Claymore with a four-speed gearbox. Leyland Motors had bought Albion in 1951, so the Claymore was built under Leyland ownership at the Scotstoun works in Glasgow throughout its life, and its production ran alongside the Chieftain, which began in 1948, and the Clydesdale and Reiver trucks that continued into British Leyland's time.
