Honda released the CB1300 Super Four in 1998, a standard motorcycle of the CB series with 1,284 cc, as the successor to the CB1000 Super Four. Its engine, with minor modifications, came from the X4, released in the previous year, and in 2003 the CB1300 received a slightly different engine which lacked cooling fins. The CB1300 has never been sold by authorized dealers in the United States or Canada, and gray market importers brought in small numbers. A police variant, the CB1300P, is mostly used by Japanese law enforcement. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 2 generations: the SC40 (1998 to 2002 model years); the SC54 (2003 model year onward). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
