Several CB500s ran in the Production TT races on the Isle of Man in the early 1970s, and Bill Smith won the 500 cc TT Production race of 1973, which ran four laps, on one, 8.2 seconds ahead of Stan Woods, second on a Suzuki T500 two stroke twin. The CB500 Four was sold in the US market until 1973, and replaced there by the CB550 for the 1974 model year. This page belongs to the Honda CB500 Four (single generation), 1971 to 1978 model years; the generation page and the Honda CB500 Four model page link to the other model years, so the changes of neighbouring years can be read in order.
