Honda Racing Corporation created the VFR750R, model code RC30, a fully faired racing motorcycle with a seat for one, to homologate it for the World Superbike Championship. Japan received it first, in 1987, Europe in 1988 and then the United States in 1990, with only 3,000 made, selling at 15,000 US dollars, a very large sum for a production bike then. Its 748 cc 16-valve gear-driven DOHC liquid-cooled 90 degree V4 produced 118 hp, and it was superseded by the RVF750 RC45 in 1994. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into one generation: the VFR750R (1987 to 1993 model years). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
