1966 Honda CB77

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

Robert M. Pirsig rode a CB77 Super Hawk of 1966 on his trip in 1968 with his son and friends from St. Paul, Minnesota to Petaluma, California, which became the basis of his 1974 novel Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. In 2019, after Pirsig died in 2017, his wife donated the CB77 to the Smithsonian Institution. The sources used for this page record no other change specific to the 1966 model year, so this page claims none.
