Honda made the Express, or NC50, a scooter, between 1977 and 1983, based on the NC50 Road Pal that Honda introduced in Japan in January 1976. Variants include the Express (NC50), Express II (NA50), Express SR (NX50) and Urban Express (NU50), all powered by an air-cooled 49 cc two-stroke engine. It was designed to enter the large market for scooters that developed after the 1973 oil crisis, with a fully automatic transmission and an oil pump that eliminated the need to premix oil and fuel. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 2 generations: the 1977 to 1980 (1977 to 1980 model years); the 1981 to 1984 (1981 to 1984 model years). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
