Honda Activa

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) manufactures the Activa, a motor scooter. It was introduced in India in 2001 as Honda's first two-wheeler model for the country, a step-through scooter with an automatic CVT drivetrain, and is also sold as a 125 cc derivative, the Activa 125. Honda introduced it as a 100 cc scooter aimed at mass market use, updated it with a 110 cc engine in 2009, and the line then went through six numbered generations. In April 2014 the Economic Times reported it as the best-selling two-wheeler in India. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into 6 generations: the first generation (2001 to 2008 model years); the second generation (2009 to 2014 model years); the third generation (2015 to 2016 model years); the fourth generation (2017 model year); the fifth generation (2018 to 2020 model years); the sixth generation (2020 model year onward). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
