Honda introduced the Dio SR, the AF25, in 1990, a higher specification variant of the AF18 that kept the chassis of the first generation but added revised suspension, a disc brake at the front, an upgraded intake and airbox and sporty styling. Honda also revised the standard AF18 that model year, and both models got the updated intake and airbox design, which stayed in production until the first generation platform was discontinued in 1992.
