Honda makes the XR650L, a dual sport motorcycle in the XR series. Honda released it in 1992 as a 1993 model, joining the RFVC engine from the proven NX650 Dominator dual sport with the lighter XR600R chassis, which is capable off-road and not road legal in the US. It has been produced virtually unchanged since 1993. The engine is a 40 hp, air-cooled 644 cc SOHC dry-sump single-cylinder four-stroke, and with an electric starter, headlight, taillight, turn signals, mirrors and a 2.8 US gallon metallic fuel tank, the 650L has a 349 lb wet weight and a seat height of 37 inches. This site lists a page for every model year in the span covered here, each focused on what changed in that year, grouped into one generation: the single generation (1993 model year onward). Each year page links to its generation, to this model page, to the previous model year and to Honda.
