The XL250R and XL600R ended in the USA after 1987. The XL series was replaced by the short-lived NX250 in 1988 to 1990, and in 1992 Honda began the XR250L and XR650L, which are street legal and closely follow the roots of the XL series. The 1984 to 1987 models were equipped with dual, progressively operated carburetors. This page belongs to the Honda XL250 (1982 to 1988), 1982 to 1988 model years; the generation page and the Honda XL250 model page link to the other model years, so the changes of neighbouring years can be read in order.
