1968 Honda Monkey

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The Z50A of 1968 was an early Monkey with the 4.5 horsepower 49 cc single horizontal cylinder four-stroke engine and a seat height under 22 inches. The first Monkey bikes had no suspension, though a front suspension was soon added, and the final Z50 of 2017 combined aspects of the Z50A of 1968 and the Z50AK3 of 1972. The sources used for this page record no other change specific to the 1968 model year, so this page claims none.
