Foldable mirrors were fitted to the 1999 Honda Accord, starting in late 1998. Australia received the sixth generation from the United States, from December 1997, but in 1999 the Accord there became the first Honda imported from Thailand. In Europe the Accord Type R, a performance variant sold from 1998 to 2002, was on sale alongside the standard Accord, and in Japan the Accord Wagon SiR with the 2.3 liter H23A engine began its run. The sources used for this page record no other change specific to the 1999 model year.
