Triumph 2000 and 2500

Automobiles

The Triumph 2000 is the mid sized, rear wheel drive automobile that the Triumph Motor Company produced in Coventry between 1963 and 1977, introduced on 15 October 1963 and styled by Giovanni Michelotti. It competed with the contemporary Rover P6 2000, released just a week later, and larger engined models known as the Triumph 2.5 PI and Triumph 2500 were also produced from 1968. The Mark 2, the last big Triumph car, ceased production in 1977, supplanted by the Rover SD1. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the Mark 1 (1963 to 1969); the Mark 2 (1969 to 1977).
