Morris 1800 and 2200

Automobiles

The Morris 1800 is the Morris badged version of the BMC ADO17, launched in 1966 as an additional badge engineered variant to cater for the BMC dealerships selling the Morris marque, after the Austin 1800 of 1964. It shared the car's unconventional appearance and its large glasshouse, and a Morris 2200 with a six cylinder engine followed. Because of the car's exceptional width it was informally called the Landcrab, and the 1800 was voted European Car of the Year for 1965. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 2 generations: the Mark I (1966 to 1968); the Mark II and Mark III (1968 to 1975).
