Austin Cambridge

Automobiles

The Cambridge is the medium sized motor car range that the Austin Motor Company made over several generations, beginning in September 1954, until 1971 for the cars and 1973 for the light commercials, sold as the A40, A50, A55 and A60. The A40 and A50 shared a body and were introduced together in September 1954; the A55 followed in January 1957, the Pinin Farina styled A55 Mark II in 1959 and the upgraded A60 in October 1961, of which 276,534 were built before production ended in 1969. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in 4 generations: the A40 and A50 (1954 to 1957); the A55 Mark I (1957 to 1959); the A55 Mark II (1959 to 1961); the A60 (1961 to 1969).
