The 2019 Honda Insight was the first model year in the United States of the third generation, on sale in June 2018, and it was named the 2019 Green Car of the Year. It shares the trunk space of the tenth generation Civic sedan, since the batteries do not impede on trunk space, with a fully digital LCD instrument cluster taken from the larger 2018 Honda Accord. Honda projected 55 mpg city, 49 mpg highway and 52 mpg combined fuel economy.
