The second generation Acura TL replaced those earlier cars in 1999, based on the US Accord platform and largely designed and engineered in the US by Honda R&D Americas, Inc. in Raymond, Ohio. Built in the US, they went to Japan as the new Inspire and Saber. This page belongs to the Honda Inspire (third generation), 1998 to 2002 model years; the generation page and the Honda Inspire model page link to the other model years, so the changes of neighbouring years can be read in order.
