For 2023 Honda dropped the LX trim so that Sport became the entry model, then brought the LX back during the same model year because buyers wanted it. Brazil received the Civic on 5 June 2023, shipped from Thailand with a 2.0 litre e:HEV hybrid powertrain, and Taiwan received the Civic Hatchback on 12 July 2023, sold only as an e:HEV hybrid imported from Japan. Mitsuoka also unveiled its M55 concept based on the Civic liftback in 2023.
