The Concerto TD, a turbodiesel only for France, Italy and Portugal, came in August 1994, and only as a five door liftback. It was a Rover 218 SLD Turbo with a Honda badge and completely different sheet metal from Honda's own Concertos, with a 1.8 liter XUD7 engine from Peugeot, and it was Honda's first diesel passenger car apart from the 1993 Honda Jazz, a rebadged Isuzu sold only in Japan. About a year after BMW took over its partner Rover in 1994, Honda stopped building the Concerto in Great Britain.
