In October 1991, the Honda Integra range received a mild facelift, and at the same time a 1.8-liter version of the 4-door hardtop was made available in Japan, called the ESi. Akihito, then the Emperor of Japan, kept a gray 1991 sedan Integra with the 1.6 L engine, and drove it regularly within the Imperial Palace grounds. This page belongs to the Honda Integra (second generation), 1989 to 1992 model years; the generation page and the Honda Integra model page link to the other model years, so the changes of neighbouring years can be read in order.
