For the 1987 Honda Accord, 4 wheel anti lock brakes became an option on other trim levels in Japan from May 1987, and from July 1987 the Japanese Accord sedan, known as the Accord CA for Continental Accord, switched to conventional headlamps in place of the retractable units. Honda added a two door coupe in 1987 for the 1988 model year, and built it only at the Marysville, Ohio factory. Canada received the A20A2 and A20A4 engines in 1987, and in Indonesia the engine block was marked NA instead of A20A2 from that year.
