The Phantom V, a four door limousine of great size, was based on the Silver Cloud II, sharing its V8 engine and Hydramatic automatic gearbox. Rolls-Royce built the chassis and drivetrains, with bodies mainly made to standard designs by the coachbuilders Park Ward, Mulliner Park Ward and James Young. Of the 518 built from 1959 to 1968, it was used by the royal family, by John Lennon, Elvis Presley, Elton John and Liberace. This site gives every generation and every model year its own page, in one generation: the single generation (1959 to 1968).
