Honda quickly revamped the Civic for the 2013 model year in response to criticism. Up front the sedan gained a new fascia, with chrome trim and a U-shaped honeycomb grille where the three-bar grille used to be, along with a reworked hood and a rear end with new taillight lenses. The long-standing base DX trim was discontinued, and a rear backup camera, Bluetooth controls and Pandora Radio access became standard features. The 2013 Civics also used an updated ACE II body structure, and in Canada the EX-L sedan was replaced by the Touring.
