Honda offered a Special Edition (SE) package on the sixth-generation Accord, listed for 2000 and 2002 models, that brought alloy wheels of 15 inches with leather as an option and came only with the four speed automatic. In Japan the Accord SiR-T gave way in 2000 to the Euro R, a still more uncompromising version. Honda later stretched the warranty on the 2000 and 2001 cars to seven years or 175,000 km, which is 109,000 miles, since V6 versions especially had suffered transmission failures that led to class action lawsuits.
