The 2002 model year was the last of the original Honda Passport. Honda ended its partnership with Isuzu in 2002 by dropping the Passport for the Pilot, which Honda engineered itself; unlike the Passport, Crossroad and Acura SLX, the Pilot shared a unibody layout with the Accord based Acura MDX instead of a body on frame truck design. The Isuzu Rodeo on which the Passport was based had been sold between 1993 and 2002.
