Small changes marked the 2000 model year of the Honda Passport, chiefly a still more upscale EX-L trim that brought leather seats, exterior paint in two tones and a CD changer. An optional set of 16 inch wheels was offered for the LX trim. The 2000 Passport was still a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo, as part of a partnership in which Isuzu discontinued passenger car production in 1993 and Honda sold Isuzu trucks as the Passport and the Acura SLX.
