Honda brought the Odyssey back to Japan in April 2023 solely as a hybrid, imported from China, where Guangqi Honda builds it at its Guangzhou plant. Exports from China started on 23 September 2023. The reintroduced Odyssey is the facelifted fifth generation, whose second facelift went on sale in Japan in November 2020.
