Honda redesigned the Stepwgn completely for the fourth generation, making it taller and longer but keeping the same width, and Japanese sales began in October 2009. The Stepwgn Spada model returned with a unique grille and headlamp design and with clear rather than red taillights. Seven trims were offered: G, G L Package, L, Li and three Spada levels, S, Z and Zi. The 2.4 liter engine was dropped from the lineup, with only a 2.0 liter remaining available.
