The 2006 Tokyo Auto Salon showed the Modulo Stepwgn Concept and the Stepwgn Modulo Concept X Final Room, two Stepwgn based concept cars with sensors around the vehicle. Changes for 2006 added options of first and second row seat lifts to the G trim, a power sliding door at the rear left as standard on the G, G S Package and 24Z, and power sliding doors at the rear on both sides for the G L Package and G LS Package. Sales of the Japanese models started in May 2006.
