Relation Types

Relation Types groups the closed vocabulary of connections this atlas draws between its own entities and toward other atlases, such as the cross-atlas seam vocabulary of same-as, is-discussed-by, originated-in and influenced, alongside the atlas's own internal edge kinds linking a vehicle to its manufacturer, an engineer to a vehicle, or a route to the infrastructure it runs over. Each relation type entity documents what the connection means and when to use it, so a lane wiring an edge picks the correct kind rather than inventing one. This category excludes the entities a relation connects, which live under their own driver types, and holds only the vocabulary describing the connection itself.
