The C151A is a class of electric multiple unit trains on Singapore's North-South and East-West MRT lines, the fourth generation of rolling stock on those lines. Kawasaki Heavy Industries oversaw the project and design while CRRC Qingdao Sifang handled manufacturing and testing, the first successful joint venture between the two companies on the international market. The Land Transport Authority announced the contract for 22 six-car trainsets on 6 May 2009 and bought 13 more in December 2011, which brought the fleet to 35 trainsets. It was the first rolling stock on the MRT network to be manufactured in China. Cracks traced to impurities in the aluminium bodywork led to trainsets being sent back for rectification, and two C151A trains collided at Joo Koon station on 15 November 2017.
