The CR450BF is a Chinese electric high-speed train of the Fuxing family manufactured by CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles. It belongs to the China Standardized EMU and is designed to operate at 400 km/h, with a maximum test speed of 450 km/h. The project was announced under China's 14th five-year plan in 2020. In June 2023 test runs on the Fuzhou to Xiamen line reached 453 km/h, setting a record relative speed of 891 km/h between two conventional wheeled trains. CRRC released the CR450BF-0501 prototype in December 2024. Against the CR400BF, CRRC states it is 10 percent lighter, has 22 percent lower drag and uses 20 percent less energy. A standard set has eight cars of lightweight aluminium, carbon fibre and glass fibre, four of them powered, permanent-magnet synchronous traction motors, integrated bogies hidden under the side skirt and four classes of seating.
