1980 Honda XR Series

Motorcycles and Powered Two- and Three-Wheelers

The XR200 developed from the XL185 trail bike and was in production from 1980 to 1984, with a slightly enlarged six speed air cooled OHC engine with two valves and a kick starter only. Suspension was conventional, with twin rear shocks, but with better components and more travel, and drum brakes were fitted at the front and rear. Although its power output was modest, the bike was small and light, suited less experienced riders and was competitive as a clubman's enduro machine.
