Honda unveiled the entirely new Rebel, derived from the CBR250R, at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show in Japan in 2017, which was a year after American Honda had said that 2016 would be the last model year of the Rebel 250 sold in the United States. It replaced the CMX250 that had been made on and off since 1985 with the same 234 cc straight-twin engine as the Nighthawk 250. Each model year has its own page.
