The second span of the CRF series covers the street-legal dual-sport and supermoto models. Honda brought in the CRF230L in 2008 as an entry level dual sport that was street legal from the factory yet still had a design aimed at dirt, and the CRF230M was the first supermoto version. Japan saw the launch of a completely redesigned CRF250L for dual purpose use in April 2012, and a year later Honda announced the CRF250M supermoto version for Europe. Wikipedia does not number CRF generations, so this page groups model years by the dates the article documents. Each model year has its own page.
