The SC57 Honda CBR1000RR, the seventh-generation RR, succeeded the CBR954RR of 2002, and few parts were carried over to it. The compact 998 cc inline four was a new design with a race-inspired cassette-type six-speed gearbox, an ECU-controlled ram-air system, dual-stage fuel injection and a center-up exhaust, in an all-new chassis with an aluminum frame, an inverted fork, Unit Pro-Link rear suspension and radial-mounted front brakes. The Honda Electronic Steering Damper debuted as an industry first. Each model year has its own page.
