Alenia C-27J Spartan

Military Aircraft

The Alenia C-27J Spartan is a twin turboprop military transport aircraft that Italian manufacturer Alenia developed by combining the airframe of the earlier G.222 with the engines, avionics and cargo systems of the larger C-130J Hercules. Designed for tactical airlift into short and unimproved airstrips, it has been adopted by several NATO air forces, including a brief period of service with the United States Air Force and Army.
